Cabbage Muthiya

Ingredients:

For the Muthiya:

  • Jowar flour - 1 tbsp
  • Grated cabbage - 1 tbsp
  • Low fat curds - 1 tsp
  • Chopped coriander - 1 tbsp
  • Lemon juice - 1/2 tbsp
  • Ginger-green chilli paste - ½  tsp
  • Garlic cloves - 2no.
  • Flex seeds -1 tbsp
  • Sesame seeds – 1tbsp
  • Turmeric powder - ¼  tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander to garnish - 1 tbsp chopped 

For the tempering

  • Cumin seeds - ½ tsp
  • Sesame seed -1 tbsp
  • Asafoetida - ¼ tsp
  • Curry leaves - 3 to 4 no.
  • Oil - ½ tsp

Method

For the muthiyas,

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and knead to make soft dough using enough water. and make rolls 
  2. Place the rolls on a steaming dish and steam for 5-7 minutes till firm.

How to proceed-

  1. Heat the oil in a non-stick pan and add the cumin seeds and sesame seed. When they crackle, add the asafoetida and curry leaves.
  2. Add the muthias and sauté over a low flame till they are lightly browned.
  3. Serve hot, garnished with the coriander
