Semolina – 1/2 cup
Pomegranate Juice – 1 and 1/2 cup
Sugar- 1/2 cup
Salt -a pinch
Cardamom Powder-1/4 tsp
Ghee/Oil/Butter -1 tsp + 1/2 tsp to roast rava
Roasted Nuts and chocolate chips for garnish
Heat 1/2 tsp oil in a pan, then add semolina and roast for 1-2 minutes or till flavor comes and it turns light golden brown, keep it aside.
Then pour fresh pomegranate juice to the pan and bring it to boil, once it starts boiling add semolina and keeps stirring.
After a minute it will start, now add sugar( dates syrup/ honey ) and keep stirring for another 2-3 minutes or until the sugar smell leaves.
At the stage add ghee and cardamom powder and stir for a minute and switch off the flame.
Spread the mixture to a greased plate and spread it and allow to cool or refrigerate. After cooling cut into heart shapes and serve chilled.
Garnish with nuts and chocolate chips or grated coconut.
Add beetroot to give it a beautiful red colour.
