Amla Honey Shots

Ingredients

  • Amla, deseeded and chopped roughly- 4 pieces
  • Amla crush-1 tsp
  •  Star anise (chakri phool)- ½ TSP powdered
  • Honey-1 tbsp
  • Crushed ice-4 tbsp

For The Garnish

  • 4 star anise (chakri phool)

Method

  • Combine the Indian gooseberry, Indian gooseberry crush, star anise powder and 1½ cups of water in a mixer and blend till smooth. Strain the liquid and keep aside.
  • Combine the strained liquid and honey and mix well in a mixing glass.
  • In each shot glass, place 1 tbsp of crushed ice and pour equal quantity of the juice over it. Serve immediately garnished with a star anise on the rim of each glass.

Anti-Cholestrol

Ingredients

  • Orange, separated into segments-1 medium sized
  • Papaya, cut into pieces-1/4 medium sized
  • 1 banana, cut into pieces
  • Crushed ice to serve

Method

HOPPER / JUICER

  1. Blend the bananas to a purée in a blender and add to the juice.
  2. Add some crushed ice in 2 glasses and pour the juice over it.
  3. Serve immediately.

 

MIXER / BLENDER

Juice all the ingredients except bananas.

  1. Blend all the ingredients using little water (if required) till smooth.
  2. Strain the juice using a strainer or a muslin cloth.
  3. Add some crushed ice in 2 glasses and pour the juice over it. Serve immediately

Apple Soya Shake

Ingredients

  • Apple cubes (unpeeled) - 3 cups
  • Cinnamon (dalchini) powder-1/2 tsp
  • Chilled soya milk (unflavoured)- 1 cup
  • Chilled low-fat milk , 99.7% fat-free-2 cups
  • Sugar substitute (optional)- 1/2 tsp

 

Method

  • Combine all the ingredients in a mixer and blend till smooth and frothy.

  • Pour equal quantities of the shake into 6 individual glasses.

  • Serve immediately.            

Avacado

Ingredients

  • Ripe avocado-1 medium size
  • Chilled milk (or more)- 2 cups
  • Chilled water-1 cup of Honey as per taste
  • Cardamom powder (optional)- 1/4 tsp
  • Some ice cubes

 

Method

  • Peel the avocado and scoop out the pulp.
  • In a blender jar add the pulp of avocado, a cup of water and honey.
  • Blend for 30 seconds on medium speed.
  • Then add milk and cardamom powder and again blend for 30 seconds on medium speed.
  • Add more milk if needed.
  • Pour out into a tall serving glass and serve with ice cubes.

Beetroot Juice

Ingredients

  •  Medium sized carrots (unpeeled), cut into pieces - 4 
  •  Medium sized beetroot (unpeeled), cut into pieces - 1 
  •  Medium sized apple (unpeeled), cored & cut into pieces -1 
  •  Crushed ice to serve

Method

Hopper / juicer

  •  Juice all the ingredients.
  • Add some crushed ice in 2 glasses and pour the juice over it.
  • Serve immediately.

Cucumber Lassi

Ingredients

  • Cucumbers, peeled and roughly chopped-4
  • Cups yogurt- 2 cups
  • Mint leaves- 8-10
  • Black salt (kala namak)- 1 teaspoon
  • Roasted cumin powder-1 teaspoon
  • Water as required

Methods

  • Peel and dice the cucumber and keep the remaining ingredients ready.

  • Add the cucumber and the remaining ingredients into the blender and make a smoothe puree. Adjust the salt and seasonings to suit your taste. Adjust the consistency of the Cucumber Lassi by adding more water as required. Blend again and serve.

  • Pour the Cucumber Lassi recipe into tall glasses and serve chilled.

Cool Drink to Beat Heat

Ingredients

  • Mixed herbs-parsley, mint, basil, coriander leaves-1 cup
  • Honey -1 tsp
  • Lime juice-1 tsp
  • Grated lemon peel-½ tsp

Method

  • Grind all the herbs with other ingredients except lemon peel, with 1 glass water. Pour in a tall glass and garnish with lemon peel and mint leaves and serve fresh.

Detox Drink

Ingredients

  • Chopped ginger (adrak)- 1/3 cup
  • Lemon juice-1 1/4 tsp
  • Cloves (laung / lavang)-4
  • Cinnamon (dalchini) powder-1 1/4 tsp
  • Chopped lemongrass (hare chai ki patti)- 1/4 cup
  • Chopped tulsi leaves (Indian basil) leaves-1 tbsp
    Honey -2 tbsp

Methods

  • Boil 4½ cups of water in a deep pan, add all the ingredients except honey mix well and simmer for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Strain and pour into 4 individual cups.
  • Add 1½ tsp honey in each cup, mix well and serve immediately.

Energy Punch

Ingredients

Chilled brewed coffee-¾ cup
Frozen banana, cut into chunks-1
Whole milk-½ cup
Unsweetened vanilla or chocolate whey protein powder-1 scoop
Unsweetened cocoa powder-1 Tbsp

In blender, combine all ingredients with ½ cup ice. Blend until frothy, about 1 minute.

Fruit Lassi

Ingredients

  • Mango, chopped pieces of mangoes-1 large

  • 1 banana, chopped pieces

  • 1 apple, chopped pieces

  • 4-5 strawberries

  • 1 cup milk

  • 2 cup fresh curd

  • Ice cubes

  • Mint leaves

  • Chopped dry fruits

  • Chopped Grapes, 4-5 tablespoon honey

Method

  • Take chopped mangoes, apples, strawberries in a blender, add 1 table spoon of rose syrup.
  • Add 2 cup fresh curd and 1 cup milk with 3 tablespoon honey.
  • Blend all the mixture till the mixture become smooth.
  • You can add water or low fat milk instead of creamy milk.
  • Add some ice cube and blend it again with the lassi till ice becomes crushed, it will add a crunch to your lassi.
  • Pour lassi in a glass and garnish it with mint leaves, chopped grapes and dry fruits.
  • Now your mix fruit lassi is ready to drink, serve and take the taste of refreshing and healthy mix fruit lassi.
  • Curd with milk is a very healthy option in this summer; you can serve lassi with light snacks, lunch or dinner.
